Wally Wood Sketchbook

"The greatest book ever published on this comic-art genius features new and different cover art from all previous editions! When legendary cartoonist Wally Wood became MAD Magazine's first star artist, he had already revolutionized comic books with the work that put him on Entertainment Weekly's all-time best, sci-fi list. The Wally Wood Sketchbook is packed with unpublished works, including Wood's extremely rare, Fireball XL-5 designs as well as production art for Wood's unfinished collaboration with filmmaker, Ralph Bakshi (Fritz the Cat/Wizards/Lord of the Rings/Cool World). Also featured are insights from his closest colleagues; MAD Associate Publisher Joe Orlando, Star Wars and EC artist Al Williamson, and more on his MAD, T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents, Mars Attacks!, Weird Science, and Daredevil work, plus a rare Wood interview! The book features an introduction by Warner Bros.' Batman/Superman Adventures and Batman Beyond artist/producer Bruce Timm, plus commentary by legendary Marvel Comics artist/writer/historian, Jim Steranko. Prestige format. MMPB, 7x10, 112pg, b&w"
