TOUGE ONI PRIMAL GODS ANCIENT TIMES GN (2025)

In the ancient kingdom of Yamato, between the era of the gods and that of men, there was a time when the two coexisted. Miyo is chosen to serve as a human sacrifice to her village's god, Kippuuson-no-Mikoto, but she's not ready to die! Can Ozuno, a monk with the special ability to speak one-on-one with the gods, save her life?

Miyo, the monk En no Ozuno, and the oni Zen continue to journey through the land of Wa, meeting kami of all kinds. But a sudden encounter with a god who seems to have access to all the world's knowledge throws them for a loop!

The priest En-no-Ozuno and his apprentices Miyo and Zen are on a journey to visit the various gods. This time, they're encountering a god who can freely change the size of all things, and also a god of immense might who was left behind in a narrow space, among others.

On the journey to see Hitokoto-Nushi again, Ozuno narrates the tragedy that occurred at a shrine on the summit of Mount Katsuragi. Why did the beautiful and benevolent Hitokoto-Nushi go into seclusion? What caused Mount Katsuragi to change? The origin of Ozuno and the party's journey is finally revealed!

En-no-Ozuno has been unable to find the god he's after, Hitokoto-Nushi-but Ookuni-Nushi-no-Mikoto has an idea of where she is! Now, they seek out Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, the god of the moon!

After borrowing the strength of the moon god, Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, En-no-Ozuno's group sets out to meet Hitokoto-Nushi. But the three are suddenly separated across vast distances (and possibly even time)! Will Zen be able to have his wish granted by Hitokoto-Nushi in the end? Will Ozuno be able to deliver the divine instrument(s?) to Azuma-no-Miya(?) unharmed? And will Miyo live to reunite with them?

To help En-no-Ozuno and Azumanomiya put a stop to Ozuno's old master, the gods have sent one of their own. Unfortunately, it's the brashest and most troublesome god of all, Susanoo!

Having overcome Susanoo-no-Mikoto in an “Ukei” contest and earned his aid, Ozuno finally arrives at the new capital in Omi! But with the Imperial Court thrown into chaos by the loss of the Three Sacred Treasures, it won’t be easy for them to get close. And during all this, Susanoo-no-Mikoto sets out by himself for the Court—which is awaiting the arrival of Sansei Shounin!
