When Aubrey Street arrives in 1891 looking for a feminist masterpiece that won’t be published for almost 100 years, she worries that 1981 might be rejecting her. Aubrey is a Liquidator, her job is to fix glitches in time. She just wishes she could fix the glitches in her life. In another part of Gilded Age New York, John Hawksmore plans to kill a servant girl whose life has been turned upside down by the book she found in her employer’s library. Somehow, all their lives are connected. They just don’t know it yet…

Tormented by demons, life falling apart at the seams, Aubrey Street makes the perfect time-travelling Liquidator. But arriving in New York in 1883 in search of a book that won’t be published for another 80 years, Aubrey has fallen into the clutches of the mysterious Hawksmore--a man willing to kill to escape from Time itself.

Failed 1960s pop star Barry Dyer is now the mysterious Hawksmore. Poor servant girl Milly Hopkins has found a classic of feminist literature that won’t be published for many decades. And reluctant liquidator Aubrey Street is unsure whether she’s here to save or kill Milly Hopkins. It’s 1891…a place where three destinies will meet.
