DARLING (2021)

With all of New York City enveloped in the zeitgeist of a missing 8-year old girl, loveable anti-hero Francis Darling accidentally stumbles onto the machinations behind her kidnapping and the drug war that ensues. But has he really? A bit like chasing the Mad Hatter through a toxic chemical cloud, Francis' strange and inconceivable journey brings us uncomfortably close to NYC's most crooked... most deviant... most irredeemable characters; the kind that can only be extricated from the drug-addled guilty conscience of a failing brain.

A missing girl; a city on the brink of an all-out drug war; and our beloved anti-hero just trying to keep it all together - we're in for one hell of a night. With every page turn, our girl's identity becomes more crystal; with every passing moment Francis becomes more dope sick. Can he stay straight long enough to save her? We're stumbling towards our destiny, and now the bloodshed is about to begin.

It's a splendid little drug war. Before Francis can even put on his gutsy boots, there's a bloodbath in the Bowery! Queen Ruby orders the execution of Alphabet City's number one drug dealing duo The Director & Mr. Finch. Make sure to stay until the final reel; someone meets their absolute end. Once the smoke clears, Francis joins forces with an unlikely ally for... pancakes? Oh, and they may just have a lead on the missing girl!

The lovely Delilah makes her entrance. Before Francis and Finch walk into every bad neighborhood your mother warned you about, they stop for a little firepower. What better place to grab a haunted revolver than "Darby's Sushi & Pawn"? While Darby tries to dissuade Francis from purchasing a cursed colt named Delilah, his silent sidekick loads up like it's a goddamn biblical do-over (this may not be Finch's first rodeo). Dance floors will be bloodied before the night is over.
