BARBARIC TP (2025)

Owen the Barbarian has been cursed to do good with what remains of his life. His bloodthirsty weapon, Axe, has become his moral compass with a drinking problem. Together they wander the realm, foredoomed to help any who seek assistance. But there is one thing Owen hates more than a life with rules: Witches. Welcome to the skull-cracking, blood-splattering, mayhem-loving comic brave enough to ask: How can a man sworn to do good do so much violence? Hah! F***ing with you. It's just BARBARIC.

When a foe from Owen's past returns, he embarks on a bloody mission to succeed where he once failed and kill a malevolent demigod. Which suits Axe just fine, considering he hasn't gotten drunk on god blood yet! Meanwhile, Owen's former barbarian comrade, now a timid vampire, gets cold feet about a life of violence. But in the world of BARBARIC, where orcs, giant spiders, and devil bats roam the land, and doing good is full of gore, is there any other way? Collects Barbaric: Axe to Grind #1-3 and the Barbaric: The Harvest Blades one-shot.

It's all gone to Hell! Owen is trapped in a fiery prison with several unsavories from his past...and one old friend. Meanwhile, Soren and Steel strike a dangerous pact with Ka, a deadly assassin who might know how to get Owen back. But that's gonna require trusting a whole new witch.

A new era of Barbaric begins! We did it...the thing everyone says they're doing, even when they're lying through their teeth: a genuinely good jumping on point. How, you ask? Well, it all starts with a compelling new bad guy. Meet Orrick, the tortured barbarian now turned master torturer, who will take us deep into Owen's past, revealing secrets that should have stayed buried...like Axe in a chest cavity slurping up that sweet, delicious blood. Will the cursed-to-do-good barbarian finally do some actual good? Probably not! But some much worse guys will almost certainly lose their heads. Yummy!

Owen, Axe, and Soren are on a quest to find out the nature of Owen's curse. They are accompanied by a short Satyr named Toro, who has lost his memory. When they get it back, Toro swears he’ll be able to tell Owen what's going on with his unusual situation. Soren has recently found out that her powers are capable of destroying the world and believes her past is tied together with Owen’s. She hopes one discovery will lead to another and that uncovering the truth behind Owen’s curse will help her learn who and what she really is. Axe, for his part, is clearly connected to the old gods, who keep getting mentioned, but all he's hoping for is another drink.
