WALTER BAUMHOFER HC (C: 0-1-1)

Description

"This spectacular new book is the first extensive biography concerning the life and work of pulp artist Walter Baumhofer, perhaps best known for his extensive run of covers for the first 49 issues of Doc Savage in the 1930s. Pulp and illustration art historian David Saunders has produced the consummate reference book on the artist, filled with over 300 reproductions of original art, rare pulp magazine proof sheets, working drawings, reference photos, as well as historic family photos and a complete checklist of Baumhofer's published works."
