TERRY AND THE PIRATES THE MASTER COLLECTION HC VOL 12 1946 RING OUT THE OLD

Description

“If the ‘Greatest Generation’ had a cartoonist-in-chief, Caniff was it. With the advent of World War II, Terry —originally a boy traveling in China…matured and enlisted in the Army Air Corps. Terry and the Pirates became the unofficially official comic strip of U.S. forces in the Pacific theater.” — NewsweekThe saga continues in Terry and the Pirates Volume 12, reproduced from Milton Caniff's personal set of color syndicate tabloid proofs! In this final volume Milton Caniff gives curtain calls to many of his vivid, colorful characters. Readers will be sometimes delighted, sometimes shocked by their last visits with Terry, Pat, Connie, Big Stoop, the Dragon Lady, Burma, Hotshot Charlie, Jane Allen, Deeth Crispin III, Chopstick Joe, Tony Sandhurst, Baron DePlexus, Cap’n Blaze, and others. It’s time to ring out the old and ring in the new in Caniff’s classic Terry and the Pirates conclusion! This tabloid-sized Volume 12 containing the 1946 dailies and Sundays is an unparalleled upgrade that no Terry fan can afford to pass up.
