ILLUSTRATORS #38 WATKISS ISSUE (C: 0-1-2)

Description

One of the all-time greats is featured in this very special issue. John Watkiss may not be a name familiar to many readers, but within the world of film, comics and gallery art he is rightly regarded as being one of the most exceptional talents of recent times. The son of a miner, he taught himself how to draw the human form from memory aided by a battered copy of a book by George Bridgman. By the time he arrived at art college he was a better draughtsman than any of the tutors working there. He taught life drawing, sold paintings to the rich and famous and created over 300 massive paintings that inspired the Disney Tarzan movie. An incredible roller-coaster ride of massive highs and lows-accompanied by some of the most mesmerizing art you have seen-this is an issue you will not want to miss!
